Furkan ERGUN

Furkan has been part of and made notable contributions to the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice of Durukan+Partners, as highlighted in the Legal 500 rankings, where he has demonstrated his ability to lead and contribute effectively to the teams.

He has been actively involved in numerous secured and unsecured financing transactions, including cross-border loans, export credit facilities, real estate financings, and debt restructurings. His work includes reviewing and negotiating loan and security agreements, issuing legal opinions, and providing regulatory advice on foreign exchange restrictions and capital markets compliance.

Furkan regularly advises on complex financing structures and supports both lenders and borrowers throughout all stages of the transaction. He has experience in adapting LMA-based agreements to Turkish law, handling large-scale project finance documentation, and coordinating with international counsel.

In addition to his finance work, he provides day-to-day legal assistance to multinational companies from various sectors, particularly retail, cosmetics, technology, and e-commerce. His corporate and commercial practice includes drafting and reviewing a wide range of contracts.

Furkan also participates in M&A transactions, conducting due diligence, drafting transaction documents, and managing regulatory filings.

He regularly contributes to legal publications, focusing on areas such as banking regulation, crypto assets, green finance, and cross-border lending.
